Skip Bin Hire Sunnybank

You generally need a permit to place a skip bin on a public road, footpath or driveway layback. You don’t need a permit to place a skip on your own private property, including your driveway.

Brisbane City Council allows an exception if you’re outside the CBD, the skip is on the footpath for less than 48 hours, and there’s a 1.2 metre gap for pedestrians to pass safely.

Talk to us if you’re unsure. We deal with Brisbane City Council requirements every week and can tell you what your site needs.

For a garage or shed clean-out, a 2m³ or 3m³ skip is usually enough. A small home renovation suits 4m³, and a landscaping job or full room strip-out usually calls for 6m³. Demolition and construction jobs generally need a 10m³ or 12m³ skip.

Chat with Super Skips if you’re unsure. We’ve been doing this for a long time and can help you figure out what you need.

Yes, and we do it often in Sunnybank where front yards are tight. Be aware that a loaded skip can weigh several tonnes, which can crack older concrete. Where there’s room, we prefer to place bins on grass, gravel or dirt.

No. Asbestos is hazardous and has to be handled and disposed of by a licensed operator. Super Skips does not accept asbestos in any skip bin. If your job involves asbestos, you’ll need a licensed asbestos removalist and a dedicated asbestos skip.

Your waste goes to our disposal partners for sorting. Recyclable material like metal, clean concrete and clean timber is separated out, and the rest goes to landfill. Booking a dedicated green waste or building waste skip means far more of your load gets recycled, and commercial customers get a discount for doing it.

No. As long as we can access the spot where the skip is going, you don’t need to be there for delivery or collection. Just tell us where you want it placed when you book.
